Just applied for a job in each of these cities. Anyone from around those parts? How's the trad community, and how's the hunting?

Good luck on the job hunt... I'm sort of in the middle of those two. From a climate standpoint, Dallas is "wet Oregon" and Talent is "dry Oregon" if that matters.
I haven't been in the area around Dallas much but I've seen quite a few deer down in the south part of the state.
What kind of jobs are you finding in those small towns??
We'll be trading states. Looks like I am moving to Utah this summer.

Oh yeah, trad related. I would say easier access to trad shoots and clubs in the Dallas area. Really close to the Pope and Young shoot. Don't think one of our clubs is in Salem but portland has one.
Check out TAOregon.com. We have a forum at the bottom of tradgang now too although not too many people have found that yet.

Cool, thanks. I am pretty much looking for jobs in any city. probably a lot of folks can relate to that with this economy. I just finished school with a public administration degree and am trying to find a job with a municipal government somewheres.
