Anybody ever clear-coat over Limbsations?
« on: April 23, 2011, 12:01:00 PM »
I was thinking about putting some limsations on a set of ilf limbs and was wondering if clear-coating over them would give a more permanent finish? Experience's and opinions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance David.

They seem pretty durable as-is.I just stuck some on a recurve for turkey season and they're holding up very well in the Rockies of Colorado...

Yes, I put a light coat of true oil over mine and buffed it lightly with 0000 wool to remove the shine

Yep, I spray some clear over mine.  They keep the edges down good and seem to help take the shine off.
