Sizes of Big Jims bow quivers??
« on: April 25, 2011, 09:42:00 AM »
Hi all,
Looking to get one of his bow quivers, I will have most of my arrows in my new Safari tuff quiver but want a light weight, easy to use bow quiver to hold 4 or 5 arrows for quick get too's.
I am just trying to find out how big the hoods are, I will try and use the quiver for hunting so broadheads and blunts and also 3D shoots so also field points...
All the help and photos you can give me would be great.
Thanks for your time.

i use the medium hood with the 5 arrow gripper and it works great with 2 blades and blunts

the large would be better for 3 blades

not really that big and are pretty tight to the riser. i like mine alot

I have the large hood with 5 arrow gripper. It holds five 125 grain snuffers, but it is tight.

I have the large/5 arrow. Two blades are fine, three blades would be pretty tight.

with the largest hood you can use big and small broadheads - with the small you can use only small.     :archer:   5

If you use 3-blade BH's I'd definitely go for the large hood.

I put 5 big jim broadheads in a large hood and 4 in a medium. You must plan how you will place them at first and then it is no problem. They are tight like that but work great. I haven't tried, but would believe that you could put 5 magnus or the like two blad in a small if you plan it well enough.
Having said that, these quivers are very light and not a lot of weight difference between small and large. Nice to have a little extra blade room.
thanks, bigjim
