My guess would be either coon or badger.fox n coyote have a longer more narrow snout.

Nope, not a badger.  That's a raccoon skull. There are several distinct difference between the two skulls in the above pictures.  The most sure way would be to have some measurements and give us a look at the teeth.

Here's a coon skull:      

Take a close look at the top of the hinge of the lower jaw.
