It's the only thing I use, and never had a feather fly off or move sitting in a quiver.  It's much faster than glue, and just as good if not better.

Just the other day I dug out an arrow I shot through a deer last year. The feathers were matted down and were a mess. I though I would have to refletch it. Held it under a faucet while brushing it with a stiff bristled brush to clean it up. Took several minutes to finish the job but the tape held absolutely great! After steaming the feathers were good as new. I have used the tape for a few years and will not be going back to glue

can the fletch tape be used over non-bohning finishes, such as tremclad?  Fletch tite don't stick worth a hoot

I have used it on other Rust-Oleum paint with good results. Try it. I use it on all my arrows these days.

They don't come off they just slid around.  When I lay an arrow down on a table the flething will slide and the feathers will be parallel to the table in time.  Not sure if heat is the issue or not, I keep my arrow in a garage.  It just does not hold as tight as glue for me.

Dave,

Your either not cleaning the shafts properly, or you have a bad roll of tape.  Don't give up on the tape the stuff works great.  Try cleaning the shafts with dish soap, and water rinse very well, and dry with a clean cloth then fletch.

Dave, something is amiss. Could it be the shafts are not preped properly? Or maybe you are not pressing the quill after mounting the feathers. It seems that most of us are happy with tape, I would like to see you satisfied also. Maybe with some more info we could analyze the problem.

Love the tape!!

It's all I use anymore except for a drop of glue on the end, mainly the leading end,and not to keep it on,but to aviod the occasional fletching sticking in my hand.

I've found that if after I take the shaft out of the jojan I run my thumbnail down the length  of the fletching adding some force that it really sets the feather/tape making a very strong bond.

Never had any come loose like when using glue, even lost arrows that snaked their way under tha grass still had a strong bond, even tho the shaft itself is usually ruined........

Fread Bear 92,
I use them in Hawaii and actually it seems to bond better for me when I do leave them out in the sun.
One suggestion for those using carbon arrows with a finish over them like the Beman MFX Classics.  I lightly scuff the shaft before applying the feathers, works way better for me.  I don't need to scuff my st axis or aluminums.
Another thing that I do is remove the arrow from the jig, reapply the clamp on the feather and push down on the feather to insure that the tape bonds well, or you can run your fingernail on the quill.
Cleaning the shafts with alcohol before fletching is important too.
Most of the time the quil or the feathers will break before the bond of the tape.
The tape doesnt work as well for me with the crest wraps.

Haven't used glue for a few years now.  Left one of my spliced fletch arrows at the grave of a friend.  A year later when I went to place another arrow there, I assumed the fletching would be gone - the feathers were pretty much gone, but the quill was still stuck tight.  Fletching tape is great stuff!
