I remember Bunnyhunter now that you mention him. He was pretty fired up about trad archery back then.

I sent him a bunch of archery magazines way back when........He was just a kid was he not?

An arrow can only be shot by pulling it backward.So when life is dragging you back with difficulties, it means that it's going to launch you into something great.

Little more than a kid, Stickbow, I think late teens to mid-twentys then. He's a big guy now, and (I think he said) he'll be having a youngster of his own soon.

Here are pics of the three Barb quivers i am now blessed with:

Here are mine;

I bought this one from Barb. Between the time she took this picture, and the time I got it, she added some beaver pelt to the straps between the rosettes and the attachment points.

Richard sent me this after Barb's death. I was overwhelmed to get the Red Arrows. Linc was making a bow for her when she died, and he sent it to me. That is it, hanging next to the quiver.

Barb's "Quiver Girl" bow, her quiver and the infamous Red Arrows:

Dan Casey, the man who built her bow, and his "Barb quiver".

Long, long afterward, in an oak I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.

Does anyone else remember the immortal "opomsum" thread that Bunneyhunter (as he then spelled his name) started on the other site around 1999 or so? He chronicled his misadventures with an unkillable possum in his father's barn. He was the very soul of innocence and, because he was, he had a couple of hundred guys laughing so hard they were in tears as his narrative of clubbing, stabbing, shooting, etc.unfolded...and unfolded... and unfolded...

I'm glad to learn that he is now grown up. He was the most ingenious misspeller of words I ever came across but he sure had a good heart...

Thank you for the additional pics and words, Killie - and the reminder "story", Smilingg. They both fit in great. You too, Shawn, Barb would have loved your good heart, and good works, more and more as time went on, I'm sure.

Man, she did BEAUTIFUL quiver's!  If I had a quiver from Barb, I'd be tempted to hang it up & not use it.  But she seemed like the type that would be mad if they weren't used!

Thanks for posting this Bernie

It's really nice hooking up with old friends and sharing memories,their memories are what keeps them alive in our hearts.
