Definitely wear it for the mojo, with your bow and that flintlock! My Gramps never bowhunted, but I carry an old knife and compass he carried in the years following WWII...it's just a very cool feeling!

I would, I wish I had something of my grandfather's on my father's side. I think the kids got everything and not much was passed down to the grand kids?
I did get a few things from my grandfather on my mother's side. I have an old Pearson longbow that was his and needs some repair, but nothing major. I'm gonna fix it up, refinish it, and carry it a few times just for grandpa. He would smile if he saw me hunting with it I'm sure.........or he'd scream at me to put that down, you'll break it!!   :D  
I guess you would just have to know the man, and know how ornery I was when I was younger.    

I think you already got your answer to whether or not to wear the jacket, it's not a question but more of a requirement I think.
