If Greg gets a pair of pants like that I don't think I would want to be seen with him.  "[dntthnk]"

Good stuff right here. I wish I could have made the trip out there. Though I sure would have to add to my wardrobe I dont got any fishing attire I dont reckon.

This trip was a true pleasure, regardless of the fishing conditions.  The hospitality of Don, Tammy, Skyler and Chloe was humbling to say the least.  Under the conditions, to have to entertain guests would be almost unthinkable.  But the Wilson clan just carried on like it was no trouble at all, and Jeff and I really appreciated the welcome we received.

To have Larry and Rob there just made it all even more special.  Once again, I was left feeling like I short changed St. Jude by not bidding high enough for this trip. What a bargain we received!

Tuesday ended up being a rain day, and we skipped out on the fishing.  But with an expert blacksmith as part of the crew we had plenty to keep us occupied.

Don had recently picked up a propane forge and had his brother in law Sammy weld together an anvil to pound on.  We were in business!

The first step was to pick a good file for the project.

A master at work - pay attention grasshoppers!

Rob brought along his forge as well. It had been far too long since he had swung a hammer, but it sure didn't take him long to find his rhythm.

Don couldn't stand by and just watch.  Once he got the hammer in his hands he couldn't put it down.

It doesn't look like a file anymore!

A few more pics of the blacksmiths hard at work.  It was amazing watching a piece of steel take shape so quickly and become a knife.
