Black Creek Banshee finds a new home
« on: May 10, 2011, 01:24:00 AM »
When I arrived at the Tennessee Classic I found that I had the wrong bow.  I had asked my Granddaughter to put the bow on the top rack in my truck.  She picked from the wrong rack.  My fault for not checking to see if it was in fact the right bow -- or was it my fault???? Maybe not since I had an excuse to pick this one up from Jim Gainey.

3 piece takedown 62" AMO 48@28.  It is a super shooter and whisper quiet with no hand shock.  This bow will be accompanying me on my next hunt.

Never heard that excuse for buying a new bow...  Blame the Granddaughter... I like it...   :bigsmyl:

Sweet bow Larry, I really like the lines on it... Just looks like a shooter!

my papa blamed me for putting the wrong bow in the truck but it wasn't me it was my nanny who put it in.  i think he would have got it anyway but it was a nice try because my nanny and me did not fall for the story

Very nice! I picked one up for the wife last month. One of the best bows out there for sure!!!

Larry,

Jim was telling me about your bow as I was visiting with him earlier this week, awesome looking bow.  My Banshee TDR should be ready in less than 2 weeks... Yipee!!

Larry,  What's the brace height?  Looks 12 inches.  What does the bowyer suggest and did you need that much to make it shoot?

I shot mine thru chrono using different brace heights. Mine shot fastest at 7.5". The difference in speed was not much. I like to shoot mine at about 8-8.5". It seems to be quieter and smoother at the higher brace.

Jim had the brace height set a little high he said, but after shooting it at 8 3/4", it is as quiet as all get out.  Jim said that even 9" would be ok, but not to push it any higher.

At my 27 1/2" draw the 8 3/4" brace height works great.

Very nice find Larry. I might have to try that excuse next time I want to buy a bow.  :bigsmyl:
