The best kind of arrows...
« on: May 15, 2011, 12:23:00 AM »
are the ones made by friends.  Especially when you're friends with Snag      :goldtooth:

Earlier this Spring I picked up a couple of Super Kodiaks here on Tradgang in 45# and 50# as a way of easing back into shooting hunting weights.

I really didn't have arrows set up to shoot perfectly out of them.  I was shooting some 2018's and they were okay, but they weren't perfect and I was using 125 grain screw in points and wanting to shoot wood with 150 grain tips.  Well, I got a chance to do some trading with Snag for a dozen beautifully done Doug Fir arrows.

I picked them up on Thursday, but didn't have a chance to shoot them until today.  With 150 grain points they fly beautifully from both bows.

The first group of three I shot at 20 yards with my 45# bow.

Retrieved the arrows and shot another group with the 50# bow at 20 yards.

Come on September!!!

David, all I can say is 'Thank you'.  These are truly beautiful, well crafted works of art that will be put into play this Fall.

wow, they shoot exactly the same.  I think you forgot to change the picture.  Either way, they look good, and aparently fly awesome for you too.

Friends are a good thing to have, especially ones with the same interests.

Arrows always spend more time in the quiver than on the string so It's best to have a good looking set
