For trad archers, Fred Anderson's books are must reading. His most recent book, "Toxicated" is a group of reprinted articles by the old timers of our sport with Fred doing an intro for each author. Good read. Plus you gotta love his "The Traditional Way". Fred has a way with words.

Another David Petersen recommendation, "Heartsblood". Great book but more cerebral than a mere story book.

"Ishi and Elvis" by Jim Hamm is a great read with a twist.

"The Best of Traditional Bowhunter" edited by Gene Wensel and "A Hunter's Heart" edited by David Peterson are both very good reads, along with others already mentioned. Also "Buckskin and Bone" by Gene Wensel is great...

Another vote for Jay Massey's A Thousand Campfires.
Everything listed so far is great reading too. I like real adventure stuff.
