Is my arrow too light

I am shooting a 31" cx heritage 250 (11gr per inch @31inch=341gr) +145 grain point=486gr+feathers,nock,and insert (guessing about 15grains)=501grains
I don't have a scale to weigh it.
I have been shooting it out of my 50# griffin longbow and my 60# sovereign ballistik recurve.  It flies great and the bows are both quiet.  That makes 10gr per pound for the longbow and recurve 8.35 grains per pound.
Is that to light for the recurve?

I am guessing the arrow shooting well out of both bows has to do with the degree to which the recurve is cut to center.

the recurve seems a tad to light to me i know that the general rule of thumb that is accepted is 9 gpp but you should be ok, if youre still hesitant contact your bouyer

Taking into consideration the 35 grains for the feathers, nock and insert, plus 501 grains for the arrow and point weight for a total of 536 grains overall. That'll put the 60# longbow shooting a 8.93 GPP (grain per pound) arrow.

If true, I think you're okay.

Some bows longevity may be curtailed by shooting under 9 gpp.

9gpp as a last resort if added speed is really needed (i.e. - antelope), else i want a good 10gpp or more for a quieter release and more stored missile energy ... and kinder to both the bow and me.  ymmv.

Your arrow weight is fine. Don't worry about it.
