Hello to all,
I've recently gone to a vertical style of shooting my PL longbows and as of late, have tried changing how I grip the bow.
While I've always used a low grip, a 'suitcase handle grip' as Howard put it, I now have experimented with resting the bow in the hook of my thumb and forefinger. I would not call it a high-wrist hold, as I just mainly keep the pressure isolated in that area. I also let the bow bounce around after the shot with a very loose grip.
While my bow is much louder shooting this way, accuracy has really gone through the roof! I've been destroying a lot of nocks in my basement range if I don't choose different target spots to shoot at. It is almost as if my bow is shooting from a machine.
I guess I thought I would start a discussion on how we grip the bow and move the site towards the half million mark.
Good day to all,
