Great tip on using the Brass Screw for heat transfer efficiency....

I have heated field tips and have over heated, ruining a couple of shafts.

I have had poor luck with Gel Supergulues and inserts staying in tact, especially in my GT's.

I was able to remove them by removing the nocks and using a cleaning rod.  They tapped right out with no damage.  Thanks for the different ideas.
