anybody have a pic of a carbon fiber limb under glass?
« on: May 21, 2011, 12:23:00 AM »
HI

Just trying to see what a linear carbon fiber lam looks like under glass.

I'm not talking about the woven/fabric type.

I'm looking for the type sold at binghams.

Thank you!

Why would you want it under glas? It will do better performance wise with nothing over it. If you are worried about protecting it use something like snakeskin or the vinyl limbskins. I have heard of guys covering it with glass but they ground it down to .010 to save on weight

I have covered a lot of it with a thin skin of clear glass. It looks just like it does without the glass. No different at all and you cannot tell that the glass is there.

Thats why I was asking for a pic.

Just curious what it looked like.

Thanks
