Where to buy smaller pieces of thicker leather? ( 1 sq ft) or so

Hi

I want to make a quiver similar to a "slim Jim"

Everywhere I've looked online for leather they only sell great big pieces...like 1/2 to a full cow... for a $100+

Anyone know where you can buy some 3/16" or so thick leather ( like a decent leather belt thickness) in smaller pieces? I'm thinking even a square foot, maybe even smaller depending on what is sold.

Didn't see any in the St Jude's auction.
If there is some please tell me where.
I'd LOVE to make it from leather sold in the auction!

Sounds like they got ya coverd....
   Butt, look up the leather factory, if a warehouse is near you, they usually have a big box full of scraps....
   They sell by the pound....
