thank you to bowyer
« on: May 29, 2011, 12:10:00 PM »
I would like to publicly thank David and Sue Dwyer for the very finely crafted endeavor that I recieved Friday.  I contacted the dwyers last December after out of the blue my wife made the comment to me that she would like to try archery with me (target for her only). I knew that finding something nice for her with out a custom build would be next to impossible. I talked with Sue reguarding special requirements that would be required. My wife if a small women with stage 4 cancer, so a short bow with a very light sub 30# draw (due to loss of strength from chemo) at her 24" draw length would be the most she could handle.  This is the first custom bow that I have ordered and my wife first bow and archery experience.  The Endeavor that David built has a purple heart riser, bamboo core, tamo ash veneers front and back with clear glass. 58" 30# @ 25" total strung weight is 18 oz., the fit and finish is flawless.  The bow is very smooth and quiet and a real joy to handle and shot.  Those of you who understand making light weight, low draw weight bows can appreciate the difficulties in getting this type of layup correct.  David is a master at his craft  :archer:
