Just wanted to let you all know that CO posted the elk draw results. As of this morning I officially have a limited archery elk tag headed my way.

They have been posted for awhile, deer and antelope as well. Congrats! I did not draw my elk, moose, antelope or first choice deer tags. Have you hunted the unit you drew before?

Mark- As of last week when I checked they weren't and the DOW had a posting date for elk tomorrow. I hunted it last year with an expensive landowner tag (double the $$$)and got into a few bulls but could not close the deal. Where I was in the Unit they didn't seem to bugle as much as in past years from what I was told. Hopefully my brother in law can get his hands on a landowner tag so I have some company as he drew last year and not this year. By the way, nice bull in your profile pic.

I know where I hunted last year they were definitely quieter than normal. It was pretty warm and dry towards the end of the season. Hopefully they will be talking a little more this year.

Looks like I'm hunting on the EE statewide tag. I'm going to have to cash in those preference points for a really good hunt one of these years...

I saw the same where I was Mark, it looked like the first rifle season was going to be good and from what it heard it was. Good luck to anyone else who applied. Now if I can only win a nice pack of broadheads on the St. Judes auction, but a certain Canadian is making it hard

It sure has gotten hard to try and build preference points and draw a limited area now days. I think the new allocation process has made it harder. A lot more archers out there too.
