Please let me know if you find someone that has some nice ones to spare...that is AFTER you get yours.
Until next time...good shooting,

I'm also checking my yard every day for copperheads.  I also posted a "want ad" on my faceb**k page asking that anyone that sees one at least 24" of "fat part" to take it out and call me.   :D

So far, just one little 21"er that I used to skin the top half of my 7 yr old's fiberglass toy bow.  I did the bottom half with a really dark cottonmouth.  It came out less than perfect, but he was totally excited with it.  It was good practice.

Anyone know anything about "Limbsations" and how authentic the snake skin replicas look?

The snake hunters are sold out before they get them, and the prices are going UP.  Some guys are buying everything in one shot, so supplys are minimal.
Best bet and price is to have someone here whack a couple for ya, freeze 'em up and ship. There are a lot out there, but guys are stock piling when they find a supply. If I find anyone in the taxidermy trade or anywhere for that matter who gets a couple I'll let you know.

I'll start scouting for the coming bear season this weekend. Normally its not too hard to find a cooper head in this neck of the woods. If I come across any I'll let you know.

I had a neighbor call the other day and tell me she had a couple of snakes for me (I had asked her to keep an eye out for me).  When I went to get them, they were useless.  She had chopped them into little pieces with her hoe.  The funny thing is she didn't remember chopping them up.  She said she must have gone into a blind fit.  I told her just to leave them alone and I'd come and dispatch them myself.

I've got one really nice copperhead, and I'm on the hunt for another.  If I find some, I'll let you know.
