ACL surgery - anyone else gone through it?
« on: June 17, 2011, 10:01:00 AM »
I've completely torn my left knee ACL. Surgery is set for July 29th which should give me 6-8 weeks before archery season gets going and a full 13-14 weeks before my Kansas deer hunt.

I've read up on it, talked to the surgeon etc .... its going to be 6-8 weeks PT, 3 months until I get to jog/run/bike, a full 9 months before sports again ....

I'm sure someone here has had an ACL surgery, do tell what I'm in for  :(

I hate surgery - I had my right knee scoped 3 years back (miniscus tear/loose bodies) this will be different

Brad....please don't take this personal....we have had a rash of medical threads as of late, and we've been pulling all of them.  This site was about to turn into 'Web MD .com'.  There have been so many that I decided that the next one I would post on and lock so hopefully these would stop.

Please refer these questions to your doctor.

I hope you understand, and continue to enjoy the site.
