Comptons is going on this weekend a couple hours south of Holland and next weekend is the Michigan Traditional Bowhunters Jamboree in Grayling a few hours to the northeast.  As Uncle Buck mentioned GLLI is in Hastings and then there is the Elm Hall shoot as well.  Plenty of Trad bow events in Michigan during the summer!

I will second this one.  We (The Michigan Longbow Association) would love to have him join us.  This year (2011) it is August 12-14.

Here is a link to our site.    http://www.michiganlongbow.org/

I have never attended a more fun shoot.

Have him PM me Mudd if he is interested

I live in Holland.  I don't belong to any club or have any fancy targets but if he wants to join my boys and I stick arrows in a cardboard box stuffed with cushion foam have him drop me a PM.

Regards,
~ Lee

Thanks Mudd!

Yesterday was our first full day in the States.  We will probably be headed for the Gaylord are in a week or so and from there who knows....lol

Lee, thanks for the invite...I would love to hang out and do some shooting but, as Mudd said, I have some muscle training to do for a few weeks before I can shoot.  Mudd has graciously offered one of his lighter weight bows for me to use....it is a Wesley Special 66 and pulls around 50#@28 - that will be a lot easier initially.

Mike, GLLA sounds like a blast...will be submitting an application for MLA membership soon enough!

Come on up to Grayling next weekend.  Lots of great folks at the MTB shoot.  Stop in and meet some new friends.  Can't wait to see some of my old buddies there and shoot the new habu I just recieved yesterday.  57# VyperKhan with triple carbon limbs and cocabola veneers and riser.

I live in Grand Haven and would like to get together to shoot.  Maybe we could make a road trip to the 3d range KHALVERSON mentioned.  I would like to shoot the 50 lb. Wesley Special.  I have a 70 lb. Wesley Special that I have not shot much recently due to shoulder pain.  Now shooting a 52 lb. BW.  PM if interested.
