« on: June 21, 2011, 09:33:00 PM »
Guys, I am organizing an Archery Hunter Education Class for my hunt club, Big Moose Hunting and Fishing Club. I know there are some instructors on here and was hoing to recruit one of you to teach the class.
PM or E-mail me for details.
Hope someone can help us,
Thanks, Tony

What county are you in?

I used to be one, what you need to do is contact DEC and they will get you in touch with a instructor in your region. If you are looking for an instructor that is Traditional based you may have some trouble finding one. I was one of two that I knew of.

Hayslope, we are in Herkimer county, central Adirondacks just north of Old Forge.

Ron I have spoken to the DEC education guy in Utica but had slow response. Was hoping to get a trad guy if I could.

I'll check with a couple of folks.....it may be a bit far for them, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

I'm quite familiar with Herkimer.  My wife has this thing about pounding rocks to try to find those "Herkimer Diamonds"......while I flyfish!!

Sounds good. We can probably provide accomodation if some one wants to stay over.
Where do you fish, west canada creek? I need to find some good flyfishing around here.

Tony,

You are brilliant my friend!  Giving your wife Diamonds and fly fishing.  That type of multitasking is hard to beat   :readit:    :notworthy:

My wife isn't into it, but I am going to take my daughter camping there this summer for some diamonds and fishing. Should be great fun but hope it doesn't develop a taste for "bling" in her.
