A little something I learned
« on: June 22, 2011, 10:38:00 PM »
I purchased a skinny string for my stalker after hearing all the positive things on them, installed it and started shooting. Very quite ! BUT, I was hitting 12-14 inches higher than I was with my other 12 strand astro flight ! I battled this for a week till I figured out the problem. I was looking at other threads on nocking points and noticed a post about upon realease that sometimes your arrow will actually slide down the string up to 1/8", well the nock fit was ALOT looser with the skinny string and this could be my problem I figured and 1/8" on the string could make point of impact considerable at any distance. So I tied myself a double nocking point and BINGO, Im back on target ! Hope this might help someone else !
