Hey guys, I tried to post my first topic item today and put in the wrong place-shooter's forum. I need some advice on weighting Arrow Dynamics Trad Heavies. I'm shooting 66-69#@28 recurves and want to try a quality carbon shaft since that's the way things seem to be heading. I've been using 2317 alums for the last year or so and they are working pretty well but you all know how it is-always looking. Do the Heavies work well with brass inserts and could I get reasonable weight and performance from them at 29"? I really don't want to go much longer cause one of my buggaboos is overdrawing and getting outta whack. The only other carbons I've tried were GTs and we just didn't get along. Thanks for any help and my apologies to the aministrators for my posting blunder. Grant

I have been shooting AD Traditionals for several years now with the brass inserts and without. I have had little trouble getting them to fly in everything from a 53# R/D longbow up to a #78 bow of the same design. I have had good luck with recurves in the same poundage range. I tried other things when they were hard to get a couple of years ago, but the Trads are so easy to tune for that I just keep coming back to them. I would go for them.

Thanks Rod. Gonna try 1/2 dozen from raptor with some 100gr. inserts. I know Terry Green swears by them and most here swear by him, so they sound like the place to start.
Hello Frank, thanks for the welcome.
