we just got home from the Colorado Traditional shoot and all I can say is WOW, those folks go beyond just doing this, they put on a shoot that everyone that attends talks about all year long.
I live here--shoot here--hunt here-- and I am saying you will be hard pressed to find a better warm up for elk or any other critter here, then this shoot--- for example--- I got up at day light- sober- and went to shoot a range i mean we are talking the birds are just starting to chirp you could see maybe 20 yards and there was 5 of my buds already plunking away--walked to another range --wanting to shoot solo to get my mind straight and there was a moose in a swampy meadow -hillside just looking at me-- i shot him 26 times from 10 yds to 60 yds and he didnt budge
looked to my left and there is a 200 inch muley staring from the thick pines i laced him multi times-- then to the right of the moose was a 6 point just starting to bugle-- he was toast-- this went on for 3 hours befor i had to go get a 5 dollar breakfast-- which fed two of us..
IF you ever have nothing to do the last weekend of june try this on for size--it wont be a one time affair I promise--somthing new called the RATFRO-- guess where that came from? more fun then a man should be allowed
BTW I won some serious seppo on fri night shooting the ol Bighorn
I'll bet some one with much more talent can post pics, pretty sure it will be into the next century befor i eat another hot dog, as my son and I cooked about 10,534 to compliment the free chili dinner, served on sat night,
GOOD TIMES!
