LOL @ VW bumpers.
Christmas morning, meet reality.
That exercise turned into a big slice of humble pie.
I cannot get the 7795s to fly right. They are too stiff even for 250 grains in my 50# and I even put on the old 60# limbs (which I can draw just fine now) and still too stiff. Shot until too dark to see.
Up at sunrise this morning and back at it.
The velcro rug build up on my riser makes it great for 5575s and awful for 7795s. The 7795s (full length) are loud, fishtale, hit nock up and right and basically go all over the place. Moved the brace height up and down. Moved the nock point up and down. They are damn pretty arrows but I can't shoot them.
Out of frustration I screwed in some 175s in the short 5575s and reattached the 50# limbs. They flew great. Quiet. Just a little thump. Steady, level flight, just saw the end of the nock the whole way, just a barely discernable hop on launch then they settle right down.
My tuning deadline is July 1, so I think that's it. 5575s with 175 up front. Get the broadheads and start shooting them. There's only two months to go.
I think I will now go see how the classified forum works to raise some money for a dozen new 5575s...
