should i buy it?
« on: July 05, 2011, 06:24:00 PM »
I found a bow that i can own for 50 dollars. I've tried to identify it and I believe its a bear takedown magnesium. It's collapsable and the rest is still in great shape.  Does this sound like a good buy? To be honest I think I would barely shoot it, ill just try to make a buck.  It's cool, just not for me

Bear made several "mag" handled takedowns.  If it's the 76er or Patriot, it's probably worth $50 or a bit more.  If the TD has latches to hold the limbs in place, it's worth quite a bit more.

Similar, but older. If I remember right they were Chrome maybe. I'm going to buy it tomorrow and then post it, you guys can judge junk or treasure. I do remember it said something like made with falcron. No clue

I think you meant fascor, not falcron.

depending on the condition it would probably be worth at least $50.  If it's like the one in the picture above, would be more than that.  The 76er, miniute man, takedown hunter, and bearcat takedowns are worth less than the regular mag takedowns with the latch system.

Most C risers sell for a max of about $100-$125.

That is the real deal. You made a heck of a buy.The "C" riser that you have is more of a target.Nice catch.

The limbs are 33 on a c riser, if I can't make a buck, it might be great for my wife. Either way, I got another bow. Always a bonus. And he did take 40 instead of 50, so I'm not out much.
It will also be nice to have after shoulder surgery
