ILF limbs/Dorado riser???
« on: July 06, 2011, 10:47:00 PM »
Ummm, I just bought a Reflex Nomad (Hoyt Dorado) riser with the intention of using the Black Max ILF limbs from my Morrison.
After doing a little research online, it appears that I may have to modify the limbs (?)

Can anyone clarify this for me, for definite?

If I do need to modify the limbs, can anyone tell me exactly what I need to do?

Great info.  I was confused if the mod was to the limbs or the riser.  Thanks.

Do the Trad Tech limbs shoot better than the original hoyt limbs?

I have no idea, I just bought a bare riser.
The trad Tech Black Maxes are fantastic on my Morrison though. Haven't got a bad word to say about 'em.

No mods to the riser. You may have to sand a little off the length of the limb butts as well as changing to the Hoyt hardware. I looked for a good used Dorado for what seemed like forever,  so I just bought a 21 inch Hoyt Excel ILF in the blackout color instead. I have two sets of TT limbs, nothing bad to say about them either.

Hoyt Excel  50# 64"
