Actually, I always get a kick out of Gene's ramblings. They usually make a lot of sense to this old phart.
Okay.....I'm a feline.

I try to be a good raptor, but my ex-girlfriend says I'm a slug.

When I was younger I was a canine, man could I cover some territory.Tried to be a feline but with three left feet that didn't work so well so I finally realized I am and will always be a raptor. Just sitting in tune to the rhythem of the woods is where I am today. Perched high or on the ground and observing without being noticed is a rush of the highest order.
Gene made sense to me also. Guess that makes me old too!

The essence of the hunt for me is to enter nature and observe+ return safely occasionally with the gift of a life taken.

I'm a Deer Raptor, and a pig canine. I don't know what it is, but I can sit for hours for deer, but have a hard time sitting still long enough to finish my lunch when I'm pig hunting. Bad thing is I have a bad knee, and it would do me good to sit a little more often whilst piggie chasing. Honestly, about 2 weeks after I got my knee scoped, I was chasing pigs for 3 days. Had to take lunch, bag chair and a book to keep me still for an hour.
