.400 spine would put you in the ball park if you put some weight out front.  What's the center cut of your bow, and how much do your inserts and points weigh?  Also, string count and material can factor in.

Mike, What I've been reading the 600 spine might be a better set up on my bow.. More research seems my bow is not cut past center. Got a fast flight string, an if I remember correctly it's 12 or 14 strands !

What do your points and inserts weigh as this will determine wether to go with a 400 or 340 spine.

Iwould go with a 400 spine, you can add heavier inserts and point weight.I will help weaken the spine and increase overall weight for a 57#@28 bow.I shoot a 600 spine out of a 42#@27 longbow, and with a 145 gr. point it weighs around 365 grs.Way too lightweight for a 57# bow.I shoot a 400 spine arrow from my 55# to 62# bows.

I think Easton 500 epics with 175 to 200 point weight cut to 29" or 150 cx heritage at 29" with 200 to 250 up front ,, @27" 400 are too stiff,, 340 way to stiff

I shoot AD Trad Lites(35/55 spine) from my 56# Groves and 58# Kempf recurves. I draw 27", cut them 28.5", installed a 100 gr Brass insert, 30 gr BHA, nock inserts, 9/32 glue on nock and 125 Zwickey. Total weight up front 255 grains....fly like darts.

First choice would be 35/55 (.500 spine).

Why has no one mentioned Stu's calculator?  Make sure you know your center cut when you are comparing arrow spines with other shooters, not just point weight and poundage.  It makes a huge difference.

Thanks for all the info fellas, Hashiba ! I'll jump over to the Great Plains website see if I can't get the center cut info, or maybe just call Mr Bill Forman @ his shop !!

400 spine.

I just  went through tuning for spine my own rig (60# @ 30") and 340's worked with almost 300 grains up front and 31-1/2" long.

400's worked if I cut them to 30-3/4" same weight up front so you can see your set up is more 500/400 spine depending on how the riser is cut.
