Big Jim Bows
« on: July 16, 2011, 01:48:00 PM »
I took a few Pics while out shooting my two Big Jim 56" TC's and the 58" Buffalo this morning. It's hard to pick just one to shoot   :)

I like the looks of the bow on the right. What is the wood combo on that one? I am on Jim's list but have a long ways to go b4 I get the call.

Thanks, Glen

Nice bows.  What kind of performance do you get with 10 Gr per pound of arrow weight?        :archer2:

Glen the Bow on the right is walnut riser with tiger myrtle limbs, the middle is cocobolo/snake wood limbs/riser, the left TC bow is B/W ebony. Performance wise I haven't shoot them through my Chrony but can tell you I have owned dozens of bows anything from carbon limbed to bamboo core. The B/W ebony TC and Buffalo do smoke a arrow pretty fast for my short draw. The Walnut/myrtle bows is alittle lighter draw weight so isn't as fast as the other two but not to bad for a 45lb range bow. I am  happy with the overall performance they aren't slugs FPS wise and they are all super, super quiet.

Cody,

Sometime if you get up to Oklahoma City, give me a call and bring your B/W ebony TC. I really would like to shoot it, and to see you also! I have some new bows for you to shoot too. Those bows all look really great.

Believe me, Cody, I'm all for waiting around awhile for some cooler weather! I'm not shooting much because I can't stand being out in the heat either. I'll bring along my fairly new Shrew Koa Classic Hunter (I have to name my Shrews so I can talk about them without getting confused     ) for you to shoot and compare with the TC. It sure is nice to be able to have such great bows being made these days. Hope all is well with you and yours. I'm looking forward to seeing you.

Ive not been able to shoot one yet,  but can say Big Jim sure has a nack for finding some of the best woods out there!  That in itself is a job.  At some point I will come across one to shoot.

I never shot one either. Currently shoot a Acadian woods and love it.  I sent Big Jim a email last night, depending on what he responds, I will put my name on the lists.  From what I seen here and on other sites, it shouldn't be a problem selling it if I can't shoot it.
