tuning bow to new arrows or arrows to bow

i just switched to aluminum after wood went wiht some advice from here bought some camo hunters waiting for them to come i been shooting some legasys i got from a great guy on here there 2117     they fly great with my bow 47 @28 cut to 29 i shoot 3 4" 4 fletch and 2 bare shafts they gruop about 4"altogether at 15yrds but the bare shafts nock kicks right at about 5yrd then is still right in the the target even know they group together should i be worried with this or not

They indicate stiff. You can try adding more point weight and/or building out your strike plate on the bow to correct although 2117s are awfully stiff for that bow.

If they group together then don`t worry about the tail of the shaft kicking right.

2117's are way too stiff for your bow weight and arrow length. try a 2016 or 2114 in aluminum.

I never try and make an arrow work for a particular bow....instead I find the arrow that the bow likes. Arrows too stiff are never fun to try and make fly. I also say the 2016's would be better!

Depending on how the shelf is cut (to center or past center and if past center, how much past center) and that isn't mentioned and if a fast flight bowstring is used, I'm going to go the other way and say a 2114 with a 125 to 130 grain point weight combined with adjusting the brace height.

I'm not sure but I thought if the arrow is stiff you shave down the strike plate

You can shave the strike plate but depending on how stiff they are, 2117 is very stiff for that bow

Yup, way to stiif even if the bow is cut 1/4" past center. A 2016 left to 30"s with 125 grain point, you never mentioned point weight. If you are shooting 275 grain point weight than the 2117 may work for you! You can tune a bow to the arrow to some degree but it is not worth the effort unles you are shooting an ILF rig with plunger and elevated rest. Shawn
