Here's my new project a Ben Pearson Colt 62" long probably 42 or 43 pounds pull at my draw length. Let me start by saying I was injured a few years ago and have not been able to shoot any of my bows much less my high poundage ones. I might be able to work up to a little more as I get back in shape. That is if I don't tear another muscle.
First time shooting with a new string today put my beaver puffs on, waxed her up heavy, and tied on a nockin' point with dental floss. The first shot hit a little low because all I ever had on her before today, was a FF string left over from my old longbow with nothing but a nockin' point on it. It was too long for the Colt which made it shoot a little harder also.
Well at least that's my story and I'm stickin' to it! LOL!
I've probably only shot it 20 or 30 times total. It's new to me bought from a friend a couple of weeks ago.
This is the first three arrows I shot today at approximately 20 yards with new string.
Next part of the project is to slap some Krylon on her! Or who knows what I may decide to do but she's way too shiny might paint her with Duracoat.
