Am attaching a photo of the Howard Hill Invitational tournament, abt. 1982.  Anyone recognize their face in the picture?

No one can mistake the big fella kneeling in the front. Since that it the year I first started with a trad bow I am nowhere around there. It's a wonder I didn't shoot myself with my recurve.  How is the bow building going Dave?

Well, that picture was a little bigger a while ago.
I see Ron LaClair, Jerry Hill behind him, and Dave Johnson in the back far right.(white shirt)

To Dave's right, I recognize a Jery Hill longbow that a guy is holding in the air, with about 3" of backset.

I'm kneeling in front with my 80# John Lee Hill style bow. To my right is Bob Palmater who was a huge Howard Hill fan. Bob past away a few years ago.

Directly behind me is Jerry Hill, to his left is Tom Rogers from Ohio. To Jerry's right in the green shirt is Charles Chappell. Charlie is a local boy who took me over to meet his father who went to school with Howard. He told me how he and Howard use to shoot birds with slingshots.

To Charlies right is Maurice Cash, also a big Hill fan. Maurice made Hill style bows for a time. To his right is Lynn Clark, a little man that shot a 90# longbow. In the back row the tall guy with the white forehead is John Lee. The rest of the folks I think are local, Bob Wesley is not in the picture so I don't think it was 1982 because that was the year that Bob won the shoot.
