Made it to Utah
« on: August 08, 2011, 10:26:00 AM »
Well I made the transition from Oregon to Utah... now to start sorting this place out. Discovered that I am about 20 minutes from Timpanogos Archers range which has some promise for sure. Went up to check it out and found 4 guys shooting trad so at least I won't be alone.

Now the real question... do I change my handle? I still feel like Oregon Okie?

Any Utah tips or contacts would be great. We are in North Orem at the mouth of the Provo Canyon.

The first thing is to change your personal info so your posts on here say "from: Orem, Utah" instead of Eugene, Oregon.....haha I know "sorting this place out" still.
You guys in Utah got a good guy as a transplant. Take care of him and show him around.
I can see future trips to Utah in store for me.
See you in Sept....isn't that a song? Oh yeah, didn't mean it like that! haha

Welcome to Utah. We can always use more trad shooters here, the wheelie bug has infected too many people around here. I am down south, but good luck up north!

I'd keep Oregon Okie, just change your location in your profile.  Anyone who knows  you already will always think of you as Oregon Okie, and anyone who doesn't will wonder how you got that name....

Since you mentioned Timpanogos Archers range, that reminded me of Timpanogos Cave National Monument.  That is a worthwhile trip when you have time.     Timpanogos Cave National Monument

In my experience while on vacations in Utah, you have lots of interesting exploring to do.

Hope the settling in continues to go well.

Was going to suggest getting a hold of Ryan, but I see he beat me to it.

Thanks all. Looking forward to getting out some. Probably won't be hunting this season. Gotta go to NM to watch my Dad do some "bucket list" hunting and other commitments. Might do some camera hunting with snag next month.
thanks again and hope to run into some of you guys out there.
