Or should I just stick with my arrowmaster Duiker, I'll be hunting Elk in the high country, so will have a pack on my back.

Quiver type is a real personal thing.I personally prefer bow quivers but I have also used them for decades and am very used to them.If you decide on a bow quiver, make sure it doesn't affect your shooting or tune.

I prefer as light a quiver as I can get and have used everything from 4-8 arrows. These days I prefer a 5 arrow model. You may want to carry one arrow with a blunt for an occasional stump shot or shots at grouse. In many areas, mountain grouse may be in season the same time as elk and are found in elk country.

With a 5 arrow quiver, you would have 1 blunt and 4 broadheads. You maynot need that many but I'd rather have a couple too many than not enough.

If you decide to use the Duiker quiver,I would load up my pack, take the quiver and bow and go for a walk and see if they all work together.Anyway, good luck on your hunt.

Great quivers

Bails, Just saw your post. There is no extra charge for side mount brackets if the quiver is ordered that way.  :archer2:

Bails, check out the Kwikee Kwik 3 quiver.  I bought one for my Hoyt Excel hunting bow.  It does only hold 3 arrows, but its small, light and easy on and off.  The newer models have a knob to tighten them down to the mounting bracket for no rattles.  I used these quivers with my compounds back in the early 90's.

Thanks 2fletch and Reaper, I like the Eagle ,but also the flexibility of the Kwikee Kwivers. Would need to hold at least 4arrows though. I gotta do some thinking now, I like both that much !!!!

Bails, I use a NAP centerest flipper on mine.  Easy to adjust and bulletproof.
