I don't have the Traditional Longbow but I do have a couple of Bushbows and they are great shooters. The Bushbow is Jerry's and Rick's favorite.

I bought a Critter Gitter earlier this year and have no doubt this bow will be my hunting companion for as many years as I can shoot it.  That being said, when I ordered mine, I asked Jerry why he used a Bush Bow.  He said it's a very, very forgiving bow and he can shoot a wide range of various spined arrows with it.  My buddy ordered the Bush Bow at the same time I ordered my Critter Gitter and he's really happy with it.  The only reason I didn't get a Bush Bow is because I don't care for the looks of the wider limbs and prefer a narrow limbed longbow.

All of that being said...you can't go wrong with any Great Northern bow.  Jerry makes a fantastic bow and his craftsmanship is second to none.

The Traditonal is a narrow,straight-limbed longbow with a bit of backset.  The bushbow is a mild R/D flatbow, with no tip overlays.  At least for me, a Jackknifed Bushbow is the ultimate hunting bow...

Love my jackknifed Critter Gitter. Best and simplest design out there. Shoot one, you'll be hooked!
