Northern WI 3D, which one?
«

I am going this weekend to see my Mom in Rhinelander and have mentioned taking her with us to one of the local 3D shoots (I LIKE losing arrows, really I DO!). There are a couple that I found at 3Dshoots.com. Just wondered if any of you local folks would suggest which one is better, in your opinion? Thanks. Either reply or PM me.
Thanks,
TomBow

You could check out Rib Mtn Bowmen, they will be having a 3d shoot 8/20 - 21st. Great course and club house. Close to Rhinelander just north of Wausau.

Not sure what other one you are looking at, but the Wausau club is one of the best I have been to. Great courses and targets. Plenty of traditional guys belong there as well.

I will 3rd the Rib Mt. Bowmen. Great Club and good turn out usually. It's my hometown and where I received my archery merit badge.

Hi, Last weekend (8/13/11) I went to the Rib Mt. Trad. Shoot it was a great course and met many nice folks at the shoot. They had a great steak dinner at the end of the day.
This weekend they have the "Last Chance 3D shoot" open to compound and trad. shooters.
I live just a few miles northwest of Rhinelander. Have a nice outside range at my business.

My brudders--
Thanks for the info, I DO appreciate it. My folks's place is on Boom Lake in Rhinelander and we try to get there a couple times a year. Wish I had been in town for the trad. shoot last week but danged if I don't need to work to pay my bills! It's a cryin' shame, I tell ya!! My wife, my Mom and I look like were headed for Rib. Mtn. on Saturday. Hope to have a good time and not throw too many arrows into the wood-work!
Thanks again,
TomBow
