Uh oh... new bow
« on: August 17, 2011, 10:42:00 AM »
I said I wasn't gonna do it!!!

I love my two whips!!! We are good friends and got I was just thinking about the difficulty of carrying them unstrung... the danger of something happening to and from going on a hunt is something that scares me as my lease is farther away and the fact that I am heading out of state...

So I started to look at take downs and came across the ILF bows... the ability to tune (especially since I went to 3 under and my bows seem a lil noisier... ) The ability to go up or down a few pounds with the same set of limbs. The availability of different limbs... and since I haven't bought a bow in 4 years...

Looking around the sight, folks love they're ILF bows says something... Well I looked around and decided to give Bob Morrison a call... Since his tuning guide has been my bible for tuning bows... He was a treasure trove of information and seems to know a thing or two about building bows   :smileystooges:

Well I was sold and ordered a riser from him with the low grip from his in stock inventory... I would love to have gotten some of his limbs, but my budget does allow for it.... So ordered some korean made fita limbs and a couple SBD strings.... The riser arrived in two days... The string and limbs are gonna take a little longer... I know it is useless without pics!!!

Even though I hadn't found a right time to break the news to the boss lady when it arrived, she was a very understanding once she saw beauty of Bobs work...

I am keeping a sharp eye on the mailbox... Man I hate waiting!!!

Morrison's wood ILF are 'the' thing. I'm craving one myself, since T/D is the way for me now. Beautiful one.

uh oh is right! The critters are in serious trouble now that you've got such a pretty looking riser to throw at their heads.

That's the way I feel right now... I've had it for a week!!!

The grips feels good!!!  I am just waiting on the limbs and string... Will probably hunt with the whip as I am going to need to tune it and tune some arrows for it before I am ready to hunt with it!!! But I am sure I'll probably have it ready for November!!!

Good looking riser.  I have been thinking of getting an ILF setup and have been looking at his risers, too.
