Arrowmaster Quiver modifications
« on: August 17, 2011, 01:03:00 PM »
Like most of my stuff, I modify to suit my own needs.  I really like my Arrowmaster Quiver BUT a couple things needed tweeking for my use.  I've followed a couple of mods others have made as well as what is happening with then new ones from Safari Tuff so here are mine.

First off, I was having a problem with the side of my quiver collapsing against my hip.  I just took an old arrow and zip tied it into the inside of the quiver for stiffening.  I used a small nail and a torch to burn holes for the zip ties.  You can also see that I burned a hole for the belt carabineer to allow some flexibility in how the quiver hangs - I really like it there.

Another close up of the new carabineer hole.

I also was having a problem with the quiver rolling off my back when I bent over.  Part of that was fixed with the new carabineer hole - the rest was pretty much fixed by modifying the attachment point of the shoulder strap.  I had to take apart the original strap to put the D ring in a different location, the only other thing I needed was a few inches of 1" nylon strap and needle and thread.

Make sure if you do this that when the quiver is picked up that there isn't enough slack in the strap to allow it to go over the top of the quiver.  Note that the D ring is sewn to that spot on the webbing - it's not allowed to move back and forth.  I could have just zip tied it as well.

The last thing I did was to add additional foam to capture my broadheads better.  I stacked up 3 sections of 3/8th ethafoam and used contact cement to glue them together.  Then I drilled 1/2" holes with a Forstner bit to make finding the right landing spot easier.

The one thing I might have to do yet is to relocate the velcro for the hood - won't know till I use it more.
