WV hunting...

I'm about to pull the trigger on a cabin in the eastern panhandle of WV in which the property borders the 23,000 acre Sleepy Creek WMA. Anyone have any experience hunting this WMA or this area of the state? I'm also interested in hearing about the bow only counties in the southern part of the state. Is there ample public hunting areas in the bow only counties?
Thanks!

I live in the New River Gorge area. I have dabbled around with the bow only counties. There are a lot of leases in the bow only counties as well as state land. Check out RD Bailey SP.

I from Grant County -- Petersburg to be exact -- and it's some good hunting in the eastern part of the state. The bow only counties are tough, rugged hunting. Not a ton of deer, but quality is top-notch.

Contact Gene Thorn through the Traditional Bowhunters of Southern WV. He works at R.D. Bailey, he should be able to help you.
