I guess if we run into the bear that is making these tracks, we oughta just get off the trail.......He seems to like it!

I always carry four arrows and all have to have a different type and style of broadhead.  One must be older than i am.

Are we weird? What is weird?

I always have on a piece of turquoise jewelry...usually a bracelet.  Native Americans believed that it made their arrows fly straight. Now I just need something to keep the arrows from flying too high or too low.   :archer2:

They aren't the sloppy kind, more of a "peck". Just bad jujus if it's not done. Have to treat the weapon with respect and it will follow through for you.

When I lay my clothes out the night before, whether at home or in camp, I must place my primary flashlight into my right boot for in the morning.

Comes from childhood hunts with my Dad, and now I don't feel right unless I do it.

Never thought it superstitious but for decades I don't go into the woods w/o my hat. Had a special brown hat very similar. Gave to Mr. Greg Coffey's son.

Apple flavored Jolly Ranchers!!   :D

I am insanely picky about my clothes and keeping clean. It's crazy, ask my wife!!

I'm a "Lunatic", I go by the moon to determin when and where I hunt.  In the last 7 years, I have brought at least 3 deer a year to the freezer using the moon.
Just one more step please!

One night, before opening morning, about three A.M. I had a dream. I was dreaming that it was opening morning and a large bodied modest racked 8 pointer was walking past me, nice and close. Just when I was getting ready to shoot it turned and in a very deep basso voice said "what do think you're doing."  I won't shoot at anything opening day, ever again.

Gotta have the knife my dad gave me as I walked out the door on my first deer hunt.  Also, the camera stays on the truck, or camp if I am in the back county, its just bad luck for me if I have one with me.
The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.

I remember one deer season when i was alot younger, I had decided that my clothes and skin had smelt of human. Only after this did i decide that i wasn't going to wash my clothes or bathe till i killed a deer. A week later my hunting mates finally forced me in the shower and i killed a deer the following day. The following day i killed a deer.   :archer:

Like KillDeer... I too like to find feathers when out hunting. I always pick one up and stash them into my bow quiver where the BH's live.

And I think I need a lucky hat... one of those short brimmed ones that one of those thin, young looking Wensel brothers wear!
