Thanks everybody. I think I'll keep my feet on the ground and I'm a excellent shot with a handgun so maybe I'll give that a try. thanks again

I cut a tendion in my left hand one time putting a lawnmower blade on. I broke the bolt and I hit the sharp edge of the blade I had just shaperened. It was the tendion that extends your finger. It was a painful recovery and it took a long time to heal properly. I wasn't shooting a bow at the time but none the less you will have many chances in the future to hunt Bear with your bow. There was one thing that helped me rebuild the strength in my hand was sqeezing a small rubber ball. Good luck with this and God bless.......Dusty

Earl, sorry to hear about your hand. I knew someone else that had a very simlar experience. He use a M.L. instead of scrapping the money for the hunt.

I hope your hand heals fully and you get out there and ejoy the woods.
Relax,

Charlie I killed one with the Flintlock in 2005. My son helped me load some 44mag ammo last night I think I'll give that a try. thanks for the good wishes.

sorry bud...this is a tough one for sure, look at it this, how would ya feel if ya took a shot with that compromised hand and ended up wounding an animal, I am sure you'd really feel much worse then. Wouldn't want to be in your position, hafta weigh out the pros and cons. I will be praying for you!!!!!
