Here are a few I made to hunt with this year. The two on the left are walnut shafts sent to me by Ken75. The fluflu has a self blunt. The two on the right are sourwood shafts. All fletching are tied on with sinew, fore and aft. The arrow on the right has 3 small goose feathers tied in a tangential 3fletch. The heads(2Abowyers and one homemade)are hafted with pitch glue and sinew wrap. Self nocks are sinew wraped and all wraps are sealed with pitch varnish. I used Tru-Oil to seal the walnut shafts and pitch varnish on the sourwood shafts.

here's some i made up for testing on dead water buff. shafts are douglas fir. points were knapped by woody blackwell. they are hafted with sinew and pine pitch.

the feathers are bound with sinew and self nocks.

the white one in the middle i knapped myself. the one in the bottom left is one of woody's points shown before, after i reknapped it as it got broken on a buff rib. the rest were knapped by bill skinner.  the brown pine tree killed me a pig on cape york this time last year. it was recovered intact.

I made this a few days ago.  My first and only primative arrow so far.  I used wild turkey wing feathers, river cane harvested locally, self nock and a zwickey.
