Russian pigs

Living in central ny and having some property in an area where these pigs hang out(limited numbers) I have seen sign over the years especially recent years on my property and surrounding areas but have never seen a live one during daylight just on trail cameras until last night. The pig I saw was easy 300+ lbs big black thick just a large classic pig. It was moving east to west at about 50-60 yards in cut hay field moving in and out of rows of corn.  It was very cool to see one especially this large after all these years.  Question I tried to stop it like you might a deer  so I oinked, oink at it never even changed his speed or direction,  how do you get them to hang around for a second or two??

 The Call Zall can be adjusted for different animals including deer and hogs, so you have two in one for that kind of situation.
 
 The Sure Scent is an all game attractant that has worked for me by squeezing a few drops from the treestand if the critters seem to be just out of range or you can put it out before you get into your blind/stand. It has worked for me on hogs, deer, woodchucks and bears.

have never heard of any ferral pig calls.  all the ones i've seen during hunting would run like blazes if they winded, saw or heard ya.

Predator call that is rough and raspy like a crittr gittr open reed will sometimes bring hogs in. I have had them run the other way and I have had them come in to 0 yds looking for a fight. If you decide to try a predator call for hogs be ready for some fast action. Chris

2nd the predator call. I've used a lot of hog squeals & calls & nothing.

Best I ever heard tell was to lay down in the trail & make corn noises.

Some of the electronic calls have baby pigs on them like FoxPro...they work

Bill, thank you for calling me just after seeing that big boy... 300#s plus is exciting. I hope this season you can get a shot at one of those pig, it would be quite a novelty in this area.

The pig really was huge, I thought 300ish# my wife said it was bigger than me and if you know me - - well-  it was big and looked real mean.  I thought it was interesting in the way it walked like it had a purpose to what it was doing and knew where it was going except it was all corn and hay, soybeans everywhere. I hope I get to see it again. I will unload a big heavy forgewood at it.
