Good looking bow. I`ve owned a few longhunters and they were all shooters. I really liked the 64" bamboo hunter.RC

Yep... Tom told me he was most likely only going to make the new Longhunters in 64". What makes these bow shoot so well, in my opinon, is the grip and the big mass in the riser. Other than a Silvertip recurve that I once owned, these bows shoot more accurately then any bow I have ever shot.

A Longhunter from Archery Traditions was my first "Real" longbow. I would love to get another one.
It was a real smooth, stable bow.
Mark, what are the woods on the bow in your picture?

That's a sweet bow right there! Gotta get one this winter. I have a 68" Bamboo Longhunter and it draws so smooth it feels much lighter than it is. Deadly accurate too. She just wants to stack arrows all day long. The 64" would be optimum for me as I draw just over 26".
Nice score on that one, Congrats!

I'm just tickled to see some new 'traditional' life at JA. I'll have to get one. I think I have one of each of the other models they offer.
Thanks for sharing Flint.

Flinthead I have the exact same bow! I really like It and I believe I shoot it at least as accurate as any recurve I have owned maybe better. Great grip and the fit and finish is really good.

When I was dealing Quillian bows, sold a few Bamboo Longhunters. Customers were very happy with the bow's performance. Jeffrey dressed it up and it looks real nice.

Flinthead, nice looking bow. What is the reinforcing/decorative strip in the riser made of? It looks like bubinga between 2 strips of maple, but I can't tell for sure. Clint

Flint Head you sure about maple limbs with zebra venners? I was under the understanding they were all zebra wood.

Yes... Tom told me that he narrowed the limbs a little to give the bow more punch.

Good one Flint Head!
I have never seen an ugly bow, unless it was broken. Granted, some do catch the eye more than others, much like women, but if they shoot, they are beautiful. My old Longhunter is a 'Plain Jane' compared to many, but she shines when you shoot her, and that's the most important thing to me.
Thanks for the review of the 'Bamboo Longhunter: Next Generation'. I'll be getting one this winter for sure.
