after a recent tahr hunting trip to NZ i came to realise that i needed a better way of keeping my spare arrows in good condition. as you know strapping your arrows to the side of your pack is the easiest way to carry them but there's nothing worse than all your feathers being squashed together especially in wet conditions.
this is a very simple arrow divider i made out of some 5mm rubber. just drill the right size hole in the configuration that you like to suit the amount of arrows you want to carry. it keeps your feathers from being squashed together when they are stapped to your pack.
then there's this......
a silnylon bag i made to keep them dry. the end is some heavier cordura. the nocks will punch holes in the silnylon too easily so i made the end heavier. i sealed the end and the seam with some silnett sealant. in an emergency you could even use it as a water bag!
now i plan on making a 6 arrow divider and bag to suit. this way when i go back to NZ i can have ten arrows for the 2 weeks hunt. four spares and six to go in the bowquiver when i get to the hunting area and setup my takedown recurve.
sweet!
