525 grains wasn't cutting it, so I initially thought that putting on long footing would allow me to put more weight up front.
Don't ask me how, but I guess these (really old) 2219 footings weigh so much that they canceled out the increased stiffness that they undoubtedly lend to the first 10 inches of the arrow. These bareshafted exactly like when they had no footing at all! Thats free forward-of-center weight with no noticeable effect on dynamic spine! Anyway, I'm up to around 700 grains now, and these look pretty indestructible to boot :eek:
