First trad kill (there'll be no pix)
« on: September 02, 2011, 04:04:00 PM »
2nd day diversion with the Sicilian (my lovely assistant).

Hubman: 1 blue grouse that allowed two shots

Wiffle: 3 blue grouse with a 20 ga.

Quote: "C'mon, honey, take a picture. Send it in. C'mon... How do you work this thing? We should hunt like this all the time!"

Honestly though, it doesn't get much better than that.   :goldtooth:

Have not seen anything resembling an ungulate since that big bachelor group on the 30th.

Sorry. I must still be in a daze. We walked 6 or 7 miles.

I went out with my wife grouse hunting on the second day of the deer and grouse season. This morning. I had my bow. My wife had a Remington 1100 LT 20 ga. I got one grouse. She got three.

Normally, it would be the other way around.

She was very proud of herself. And I guess so was I.

First post made sense to me?

Congrats on the grouse. Maybe you could convince the wife to take up the bow too? Either way its still good to share the hunting experience.

Good luck with the deer

Ahhh, I can smell the BBQ  from here. Will there be a story printed-humorous ?
