"Successful" morning
« on: September 04, 2011, 05:19:00 PM »
Me and a buddy initially got up to go scout for waterfowl. On the way found 3 different areas that had been DESTROYED by hogs. Found one area that had a wallow with fresh tracks.
The next area was approx 3/4 mile away and I have never witnessed the aftermath from rooting I have always heard of.  A whole 3 acre area had been tore up and dug down to the height of my knees. (i'm 5'8").
A significant hike later we found an AWESOME duck hole that was guarded by one of the healthiest water moccasins we have ever seen.

Before the day was done we walked 4 miles total, found a duck hole, and I found an area with lots of bacon to gig. Trying to get my buddy into bowhunting...no success yet.

Sorry no pictures; it was pooring rain the whole time

Thats a negative on the snake...He swam out of the weeds on the bank about 20yds to our right..saw us...stopped; gave us the "what do you think you're doing stare"
we watched him, and we were not leaving to his satisfaction and he proceeded to cancel our invite.
